Protect from frost. Being evergreen, they should not be over-wintered in sheds or other dark storage areas as it is believed that they still need light during the winter months. It may be possible to over-winter these bonsai indoors in a bright location. A conservatory or bright porch would be suitable. The flowers appear that the tips of the new foliage in the spring, so it may be advisable to undertake a good, hard prune after flowering, then leave the foliage to grow for the rest of the year. More experimentation will take place to confirm this
