Larch trees are a little unusual, being a deciduous conifer. Leaves emerge in little rosettes on the branches in spring. Shorty after this, the years new shoots break from these rosettes to form new branches. Larch bonsai trees need to live outdoors. Fast growing trees, the flexible branches are easier to bend with wire, making styling a pleasurable process.
