Shohin Akadama Bonsai Soil

Double-line Akadama bonsai soil imported from Japan. Shohin Akadama has a finer grade than regular Akadama. This is more suitable for smaller bonsai trees, where regular Akadama may be too free draining.

Akadama has excellent drainage properties but also holds large amounts of water – ideally suited towards healthy bonsai roots. It is ideal for repotting bonsai trees.

With Akadama it is very easy to see when your tree is dry as the soil looks much darker when wet.

This product can be used on its own or mixed in with other growing mediums and compost.
