Durantha is tropical, evergreen, flowering tree which is native to South America. Notable for its flowers, which are blue and produced in racks, looking like miniature Wisteria flowers.

Being a tropical native, it must be protected from frost. Can be grown indoors in a bright location where it will receive a good level of sunlight, especially in the darker months of the year. Conservatories and porches should also be very good when not too hot.

BONSAI BEGINNERS AND PRESENT BUYERS: As always, it is more difficult to keep bonsai indoors. We recommend getting the tree outside when the frosts cease for the year.
